An exciting week!

It's been an exciting week here at home!

The little ones (10 years old) have just started 6th Grade in Florida Virtual School (they are a couple of years ahead of schedule), and Trevon is almost done with his high school courses!

Trevon has decided to go into the Navy and has an appointment with a Navy recruiter very soon.  He is very excited about his choice, it's one he has been contemplating for a long time.

My dad was in the United States Air Force for 20 years and then retired, so we're used to military ways and military bases.  We often visit the Navy bases here in Florida with my mom.

Our Season passes are only good for another week or so, then it's black out dates for the summer!

I'm not sad about that though ...  it's already getting so hot and humid that I really want to stay indoors most of the time.

I like to go out in the early morning (breakfast and tea on the lanai),

or in the evenings (in the hot tub) ...

We've seem to have gotten used to the weather as this is our 5th summer here in Florida.  We also seem to have a pattern now.  We've learned the seasons and are used to them, and we use them to our advantage.

I am enjoying all of the wonderful fresh fruits and veggies available throughout the year, and although it will get very uncomfortable soon (Summer and Fall weather), I can handle it better now.  Bring it on!
